I am a social work club member in my varsity.

I also volunteer a lot and have had the chance to work with open arms, her period her pride, international youth alliance for family planning.

I am also a member of Gendem democracy and Youth Wave Malawi.my biggest strength is that am talkative and curious and the same time. My past time hobbies include watching anime and listening to music.

SRHR Advocate – Zingwangwa Youth Network.

My Name is Temwanani Banda, female aged 23 living in Chilobwe township in the city of Blantyre. I am a holder of a diploma in Public Health Management, a certificate in Proposal writing, Project management and monitoring & Evaluation and I also hold a certificate of attendance obtained through a short course on Project Design, Management and Evaluation.

I am an advocate for Sexual and Reproductive Health Rights as well as a member of Get Together Youth Organization under the Zingwangwa Youth Network.

Our organization mission is to integrate innovative youth and support that will sustainably develop the community.

Our vision is to have a comprehensive and effective youth network impacting various knowledge and skills in 80% of the youth in Malawi as well as providing sustainability trainings and produce entrepreneurs.

And some of our responsibilities are empowering the youth in tackling Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), demonstrating a decent cultural economic environment among the youth and create, facilitate a mutually supportive return for the youth.

Yamikani Mawanda

and a student at Exploits University and Paris Graduate School where he is pursuing Bachelor of Arts in Community Development. He holds a Graduate Diploma in Public health, Graduate Diploma in Monitoring and Evaluation and an Advanced Diploma in Professional Community Development. He is very passionate about promoting and trying to achieve socio-economic development in Malawi.

Ulemu Makolija - Youth Wave Changemaker 2021

Ulemu Makolija

Executive director of a recently founded organization aiming to create more young female entrepreneurs in Malawi. She is also an education activist who aims to one day influence policy to allow more people to have access to a range of educational opportunities in the country. She is currently in her third year of study, pursuing a Bachelor of Commerce degree at Rhodes University.

She is the Human Resources Director for Girl Up Blantyre. Girl Up, a campaign of the United Nations Foundation, is a group of dedicated youth who have joined together with the shared commitment to change adolescent girls’ lives in developing countries. She is also working for Sister Keeper, a UK based NGO founded by Ms Lisa Orogun that allows women worldwide to come together, support, empower, and motivate each other by sharing experiences and knowledge. In her free time, she provides free tutoring services to students who are about take PSLCE and MSCE exams and helps students with university applications. Her hobbies including going on adventures and watching movies, and spending time with family.
