Edward Msiska

A National Youth Champion in Demographic Dividend and Policy communication. He is a Founder and Director of a youth organisation called Youth Action for Success and Development based in Area 25, Lilongwe. He is 27 years of age. He is a strong advocate in Sexual reproductive health, climate change, human rights, mental health , child development and education. He is a youth ambassador for Malawi- Scotland Partnership.

Edward holds a diploma in child development obtained from SCIM College and also a holder of ICT certificate obtained from Techno Brain LTD, New Horizon College. He is now pursuing his Business Administration studies at Malawi Institute of Management, MIM.

As a curious myth-buster, initiates conversations that question myths and misconceptions regarding young people’s sexuality and leveraging the controversies emanating from cultural debates. He has established and strengthened more than 25 youth clubs. He has always been in forefront promoting Sexual and Reproductive health rights in communities, advocating for meaningful youth participation in decision making and Making partnerships with other development partners to make a big impact to the lives of young people and amplifying the voices of young and other marginalised group of people. He has worked and volunteered with different organisations including IDEAS Malawi, Golomoti Active Aids Support Organisation, Centre for Sustainable Development Initiatives , Health policy plus and Malawi – Scotland partnership (MaSP).

Edward Msiska is always proactive and driven to influence change at large. He has competent leadership and communication skills and also a team work player. He was awarded in February 2020 as an outstanding young leader in climate change and governance at SunBird Capital hotel, in Lilongwe City centre by the Minister of Foreign affairs and International cooperation. This year of 2021 in a month of April, he has again been nominated as a best male climate leader.

Tadala Kandulu - Youth Wave Changemaker 2021

Tadala Kandulu

founder and executive director for MATCH Foundation. Born and raised in Blantyre, much of her life has been in the sports circle. She has been an athlete, particularly a tennis player since she was 12 years old.

She represented the Malawi National Tennis team for 10 years. She studied BA in Media and Development at the University of Malawi, Chancellor College as well as Honors Degree Business Management and Entrepreneurship from the Southern Weslayan University. Amongst her many achievements include: being recruited to compete at international level in the USA; Winning 3 gold medals for Malawi at the CUCSA games; retaining Malawi Open Tennis Championship 3 consecutive times; participating at World University ambassador for World Youth Day in 2013; as well as being selected as board of trustees- students representative at Southern Wesleyan University

Stephanie Mdhluli- Youth Wave Changemaker 2021

Stephanie Mdhluli

A Junior Undergraduate student at the University of Malawi – The Polytechnic, studying a Bachelor of Built Environment (Honours) in Quantity Surveying. She currently serves as the Southern Regional vice president of UKANI Malawi, a local non-profit organisation that deals with female empowerment and gender equality.

With training and programs facilitated in leadership and entrepreneurship, Stephanie has been able grow her skills in communication, project management and resource mobilization. She is also the PR & Marketing Coordinator for the Hult Prize- University of Malawi.

She has also worked as a treasurer for Girl Up Malawi from 2018 to early 2020. Girl Up Malawi is a non-profit organisation that works to empower young girls into leadership and entrepreneurship.

In 2017, Stephanie attained a Graphic Design certificate from John Paul II Leadership and IT Institute.

Stephanie also started an e-commerce fashion store, which focuses on self-identity and self-expression through clothing in 2019. This has heightened her skills in communication, marketing, customer service and resource management.

As her work suggests she is deeply passionate about gender equality, social and youth entrepreneurship.

Selemani C Ngwira. - Youth Wave Changemaker 2021

Selemani Ngwira

A Public Health Officer by training. He obtained his first degree from the University of Livingstonia.

Selemani works with Sanitation Innovation Center as Capacity Building Consultancy and Researcher lead. He also works with Malawi Public Health Institute (PHIM) as a volunteer in Lab data management. Selemani has worked with World Vision International- Malawi, Luke International, and Ntchisi District Hospital.

Selemani is a young passionate researcher. His inspiration is to become a data analysis specialization in R Studio.

In 2017, Selemani Co-founded Solid Waste Management Organization. And in 2020 he co-founded Sanitation Innovation Center-SIC.

A Communication Specialist with a Bachelors in Mass Communication obtained at African Bible College in Malawi.  I am also in the process of pursuing my Masters in Business Administration.

I am the Founder and Executive Director of Angathe Charitable Organization which its main goal is to help one live a life of purpose and fulfilment. The work of the organization revolves around capacity building, empowerment and motivation.

My love and passion is when I see people especially the under privileged change from one level of life to another. My other passion is to see young ladies rise beyond the limit.
