Wezzie Nyirongo

A journalist by profession. I serve as the northern regional coordinator for Youth To Youth Empowerment Network, which seeks to mentor young people in career guidance and also  promote youth and national development.

I got trained into a Gender Based Violence changemaker in 2017. I am a Developing Global Leaders (DGL) scholar and working as an associate staff under Young Life Malawi, a branch of the global youth Christian movement. I also volunteer with Maphunziro 265 as an ambassador.  Currently, I am in third year at University of Livingstonia, pursuing Journalism and Development communications.

Towera Ngwira - Youth Wave Changemaker 2021

Towera Ngwira

is a Mzuzu-based highly motivated and hardworking youth leader and a teen-mothers’ advocate working with Extra Mile Development Foundation as the Executive Director. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health, obtained from University of Malawi, the Polytechnic.  She is championing economic empowerment of adolescent mothers in her community where she established a young women’s club composing of teenage mothers with a vision of Achieving independent, self sufficient lives. She is currently managing WASH projects, Menstrual hygiene management programs, economic empowerment to young mothers, SRHR initiatives, infrastructure development and has skills in proposal writing, report writing and monitoring and evaluation.

Innocent Kumwenda - Youth Wave CHangemaker 202`

Innocent Kumwenda

Innocent Kumwenda is a young Malawian man aged 25 and not married. A very energetic and vibrant youth, Innocent has a good team working spirit that sees him excel together with his assigned team from time to time. He is a resourceful person that starts from the word go and inspires a lot of youths through interactions and engagements in topics related to their lives. He is also multicultural and has a diverse lifestyle endowed with self-motivation and self-sustenance with a proven track record in his life’s experience as a social worker. He is also a man of Honesty as well as self-determination while being optimistic in his path of achieving greater achievements. 

Innocent has an MSCE certificate which he obtain in 2013. He also has a certificate training in Microsoft Office at Life Crisis Computer lessons center. He also went to Mzuzu technical college to do IT Systems Support diploma which he got His paper in the year 2015. He got training certificates in data entry (SPSS and STRATA). Innocent holds a diploma from Mzuzu University in Education.
