Went to Kasungu TTC where he pursed T2 certificate. He lator on joined Malawi College of Health Sciences Zomba Campus from 2016 to 2019. Sylvester volunteered with Theater for a change (TFAC) as a facilitator at Kasambankholi Primary School in Mzimba where he helped learners to make Radio plays through Tisinthe Radio Program. In 2014 Sylvester joined Malawi Human Rights Resource Center (MHRRC) as monitor for Chakhaza Radio Listerners Club within Gender Equality and Women Empowerment (GEWE) project. Through GEWE, he championed He for She campaign and his influence as monitor for Chakhaza Radio Listerners Club motivated many service providers to come to attention of people in his community. He recorded several village voice that were broadcated on Malawi Broadcasting Corperation (MBC) through Development Broadcasting Unit (DBU) in a program called Kanthu Mkhama.
Sylvester Chiweza co-founded Girl Rising IN Potential (GRIP) Project in 2017 at Ntiya village in Zomba with financial support from Art and Global Health Centre Africa (ArtGlo). GRIP project focused on training young girls and teen mothers in basic entrepreneurship skils; tailoring and cartering services and access to modern Family Planning services. Through GRIP, Sylvester compiled different Family Planning Documentaries posted on You Tube. He become one of Family Planning video contestor winner in 2018 and won a scholarship from Bill and Melinda Gates Institute to moderate 2018 International Conference on Family Planning (ICFP) Kigali Rwanda. In 2020-date Sylvester founded Making SRH services available (MSSA) at Zilindo in Zomba with financial support from National Democratic Institute (NDI) Malawi. Among others, Sylvester has attended several International, Regional and National Conferences to strengthen his capacity. In 2019, Sylvester received a certificate from Minister of Gender during SADC Gender Protocol at Work Summit and award.
